This was the final opportunity for aspirants to rectify errors in their personal details, exam city preferences, and academic qualifications. According to recent data, a record-breaking 26 lakh candidates have registered for the exam this year, reflecting the ever-increasing competition for medical seats in India.

Quick Eligibility & Exam Checklist

As the countdown to May 3 begins, students should keep the following points in mind:

  • Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 17 years old by December 31, 2026. There is no upper age limit.

  • Qualifying Marks: A minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) for General category (40% for SC/ST/OBC) is required in Class 12.
