Attention Defence Aspirants! The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has streamlined the roadmap for the National Defence Academy (NDA) & Naval Academy (NA) 2026 examinations. Whether you are appearing for the upcoming April attempt or planning for the September cycle, here is everything you need to know.
1. NDA 1 2026: Admit Card & Exam Countdown
With the exam less than a month away, the countdown has officially begun for the 394 vacancies across the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Admit Card Status: Expected to be released in the last week of March 2026. Candidates can download it from upsc.gov.in using their Registration ID or Roll Number.
Exam Date: April 12, 2026 (Sunday).
Shift Timings: Mathematics (Paper I) from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM; General Ability Test (Paper II) from 02:00 PM to 04:30 PM.
Result Date: Historically, results are declared within 15-20 days, expected by early May 2026.
2. NDA 2 2026: Official Notification Schedule
For those targeting the second half of the year, the UPSC annual calendar has confirmed the following milestones:
Notification Release: May 20, 2026.
Application Window: May 20, 2026, to June 9, 2026.
Exam Date: September 13, 2026 (Sunday).
Important Reminders
Candidates must carry a printed copy of their admit card along with an original photo identity proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, etc.) to the exam center. Please note that only Black Ball Point Pens are allowed for marking the OMR sheets. Electronic gadgets, including smartwatches and calculators, are strictly prohibited in the examination hall.
